LEGO® Based Building Therapy is a peer-based social skills group that was initially developed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by Dr. Daniel LeGoff, a Clinical Neuropsychologist. Studies have shown that this program also benefits children with language difficulties, anxiety, low mood, fine motor impairment, and more.
Your child will be assigned one of three key roles and will practice working together as part of a team in order to build a model using LEGO bricks:
Our licensed behavioral therapists will coach and guide the process to encourage positive communication and peer collaboration.
Your child will practice skills such as sharing, taking turns, following rules, listening and paying attention, while building a fabulous LEGO creation!
Build with your team either free-form or from kits. Class size is limited to six and is appropriate for kids and teens.
Classes are on Saturdays at 10:00 am. Don't see a class that fits your schedule? Contact us to inquire.
All of our classes are $15 per one half hour class.
